Washington DC Chevrolet Dealer - Tips To Prepare For The Negotiations : chevrolet car review
Washington DC Chevrolet Dealer - Tips To Prepare For The Negotiations
by Rex Freiberger
Buying a car from Washington DC Chevrolet dealer is very complicated, and for many people it is unpleasant, and for good reason. New cars are of course pure purchase and assured depreciation, except in the rarest of circumstances. On top of it, car loans are weighted so you pay mostly interest at first, so you don't have much equity in the vehicle.
Even if the whole procedure is a challenge, purchasing a new vehicle isn't like going to battle, as it might have been in the past. Now, it's more like a strategy game, and you will be a better customer, and get a better deal, if you know this. Finally, if you want to come out as the victor over a Washington DC Chevrolet dealer, you have to do your homework and get ready.
Automobile dealers rarely use the pushy approaches to salesmanship that were popular in the old days. The clients were totally fed up with them and began patronizing the more sensitive D.C. Chevrolet dealers. Nowadays, the focus is on client satisfaction rankings taken from polling recent purchasers. Those who achieve better ratings can obtain bigger bonuses and other awards from the car makers. That is also the way the dealers get ranked more highly.
In your quest for the ideal mode of transportation, make sure you check with people you know and trust for dealer recommendations. Even within the same dealership the range of expertise amongst sales personnel can vary widely, so make sure to get the names of any in particular that you should seek out or stay away from.
It is only natural that you want to negotiate with a nearby dealer, for your own convenience. This tendency can provide some advantages when shopping with a Washington DC Chevrolet dealer. The sales team will see you as a local, which can create an advantageous relationship. Also, since you will likely use that dealership for all of the work that your car will need while you are driving it, you will provide additional revenue in the form of repeat business.
Another factor is that service departments are naturally biased in favor of folks who bought their cars from that dealer. Despite this tendency, however, it is best to shop around at several dealerships. Ideally, you should start somewhere fairly distant from you home and move closer as you go. Once you get nearer to where you stay, the dealers that you have already seen will have armed you with several quotes, and you may be able to get a local dealer to match the best one.

Baltimore Chevrolet Dealer - Your Chevy Salesman Knows What You Are Looking For : chevrolet car review
Baltimore Chevrolet Dealer - Your Chevy Salesman Knows What You Are Looking For
by Rex Freiberger
The old commercial on sixties television was "See the USA in your Chevrolet" and many people see the Chevy as the all American car. Chevrolet is still a favored brand and popular with all age groups. This makes knowing your Baltimore Chevrolet dealer important to find the best deals on the Chevrolet line.
You can find a Baltimore Chevrolet dealer no matter what part of town you live in and can expect Chevy's fine reputation for service and performance. Currently you can find many great deals from a Baltimore Chevrolet dealer on new and used vehicles.
Cars that fall into the category of "pre-auction" can be the source of genuine bargains. Pre-auction cars were normally accepted in trade and might be other brands which provide additional options to buyers who are seeking a real deal, and who are sometimes on a strict budget. Be sure to ask about warranties on these autos, as they are frequently sold "as is."
Another great deal from your Baltimore Chevrolet dealer in late spring and summer are new cars from last season or even this season's current models. With new models only a few months away, many people decide to just wait for them to come out which is good news for those willing to take a still new car from a prior year or one about to be replaced.
Used cars that have been thoroughly checked out and certified by Chevrolet mechanics can also be a good choice. The dealer generally offers a good warranty with such a car. The better trade-ins that Chevrolet dealers get are generally sold like this. Also, you should ask about when companies trade in their fleet vehicles, because this can get you a great deal.
It is sensible to purchase from a local dealership that is familiar with the neighborhood, climate and terrain of your region. A Baltimore Chevrolet dealership surely is surely well acquainted with the neighboring area and will want to retain your patronage. Satisfied clients return to make future purchases and also refer their favorite dealerships to their relatives and acquaintances. So, since the dealer wants you to be pleased both for your later purchases and for your referrals, don't you think you should see your amiable Chevy salesman right away?

Chevrolet Hybrids : chevrolet car review
Chevrolet Hybrids
by Thomas Jones
The name Chevrolet certainly isn't foreign to the American population. After all, who hasn't heard the definition of a classic car being a "57 Chevy?" In looking at Chevrolet, though, classic cars and pick-ups come to mind, and not necessarily hybrid cars. Don't write Chevrolet off yet, though, but actually go take a look at Chevrolet. The sedan and truck known from Chevy are getting a remix, in the form of the more technological and eco-friendly hybrid.
2005 brought changes to Chevrolet's line-up, introducing the Equinox Hybrid vehicle, which, fascinatingly enough, was a hybrid SUV, one of the first in in the market, but not nearly as widely known. The Chevrolet Tahoe was right before the Equinox, and recent developments with Chevrolet have made the Equinox unavailable for pricing, so it seems that this new, unique take on one of the more gas-guzzling vehicles in the mass market has not seen the light of day in some time, and no information has been given on whether or not the vehicle will return. Even if there are major changes, the original Equinox was going to use a similar hybrid system that the Chevy Tahoe had, as well has having a major boost in fuel-efficiency from its typical gas-powered mate.
Putting the Equinox aside, Chevrolet offers both sides of the hybrid argument, the disappointingly less than fuel-efficient Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and the more affordable and much more fuel-efficient Chevy Malibu. In comparison to the Tahoe's 20 miles to the gallon, the Malibu can boast over 30 miles per gallon, making the Malibu a vehicle to consider when window-shopping for hybrids.
Coming soon from Chevrolet will be the Silverado Hybrid, which is going to be the first pick-up truck hybrid (I don't know about you, but I think that just sounds really cool). Originally slated for 2004, it has taken some time for this long-awaited innovation to arrive on the market, but considering the bad reception of the Tahoe and the competitive edge that Chevrolet wanted on the sedan front of the hybrid movement which prompted the Malibu, the Silverado is now finally going to be available with technology that should make things more accessible.
The Silverado should be available in limited supply in the fall of 2008, but will make its mass market debut in 2009 so they will be more available for every buyer. While still a good six months away from its premiere, this is definitely a vehicle to keep an eye on. A hybrid pick-up truck: Talk about completely changing around the stigma on trucks as gas guzzlers and turning them into more fuel-efficient vehicles that will be great for the whole environment.
As for other items on Chevrolet's market, the Concept Camaro has been rumored to possibly be a hybrid. Granted, there's nothing official yet, but, considering the major changes that would need to be made in order to make this classic staple a hybrid, there should definitely be more information on this particular item later

Best Car Lease Deal: 2008 Chevy Malibu
Best Car Lease Deal: 2008 Chevy Malibu
by Daniel Lamb
Named after Malibu in California, this car straight out of General Motors' Chevrolet line looks like it could top many best car lease deal lists in the country yet again; especially with the release of the 2008 Chevy Malibu. Top magazines have called it the next big thing in mid-sized cars, commenting that Chevrolet has delivered and arrived, while also warning other top car manufacturers to start stepping up their game. If that's not enough to make this the next top best car lease deal, then we don't know what is; unless of course another car should come along to take its place. Perhaps this is a wake up for competitors like Toyota.
Coming out next fall, the Chevy Malibu 2008 is all about style than it is about power. With Chevrolet's all-new trademark styling (the dual-port grille in front of most of their vehicles), this is probably the best Malibu since the series was ever conceptualized. These may be bold words, but one look at this next best car lease deal will convince many a car lover for many months (or years) to come. The 2008 Malibu was designed with features specifically to suit American taste: the new grille, over-sized headlamps, and a sleek back-swept windshield. Topped off with thin panel gaps and wheels that seem to fill the arches completely, it's obviously a lot richer than any previous models from Chevrolet and it won't be surprising to see starting prices bumping up to almost $20,000. Nevertheless, it's a still a price that many can afford for a basic model and one will definitely get the best car lease deal when looking to add all the extra features available for it.
The Chevy Malibu has done what it was expected to do: it's gotten bigger. This is obvious when looking at its waistline which is about three inches longer than its predecessor. Also, in the wheelbase it is about six inches longer and a half-inch wider. Three models are expected to be released (bases LS, mid-range LT and the loaded LTZ) and many green-supporters will be glad to know that Chevrolet is including the rollout of a hybrid as well.
Chevrolet has dubbed the Malibu as the car that nobody can ignore; and this is all for good reason. Check out more on the new Chevy Malibu at http://www.chevrolet.com/malibu/.

Chevrolet Camaro Key Chains - Marking Of A New Era
Chevrolet Camaro Key Chains - Marking Of A New Era
by Kathy Austin
The end of the 19th century marked the beginning of a new era, when the automobile industry was born with the advent of cars powered by engines such as the gas (invented by Gottlieb Daimler) and the internal-combustion engine (designed by Karl Benz). Manufacturers spend billions on research to improve safety, performance and comfort. Customers on the other hand, did go a step forward by modifying the exteriors, interiors and the functioning of the vehicles to customize it to their satisfaction.
Changes to the exterior of the car include preferential alterations to the appearance, paint, stickers, alloy wheels, radial tires, use of mounted fog lamps and the like. The interiors are enhanced by using different materials for the seat covers, dash boards, roof and the works to make it absolutely stylish and comfortable.
Apart from these modification options, there are lots of fashionable accessories available today. Some of these include clothing accessories, eyewear and even designer key chains. Accessories such as the key chains come in so many forms that they have even become collectibles for people with a passion for these.
The Chevy is identified by its trendy "bow-tie" logo seen on all their cars (like the Camaro, Aveo, Corvair, Corvette and Impala), the scale models and on all their accessories such as key chains, hand bags, clothing and eyewear. This logo was introduced in 1913 after Durant saw it on a wall paper in a French hotel.
The Chevrolet Camaro key chain comes in various shapes, sizes and materials namely:
1) Chevrolet Camaro Metal key chain- With different finishes such as chrome, gold-plated and brass and available in different shapes such as round, oval and rectangular these key chains are truly a collectors item. The logo is laser-burned onto the surface to give a spectacular finish to the key chain.
2) Chevrolet Camaro leather key chain- These key chains too come in different shapes with the traditional logo embossed in varying metal finishes and are available in different colors such as black, burgundy and red.
3) Plasticolor Chevrolet Camaro rubberized key chain- These are molded key chains and the attention to detail has resulted in a beautiful wonderful keychain that would perfectly match your style.
4) Flashlight LED key chain- As the name suggests, this key chain comes with a LED-light that helps in inserting the key in dark.
5) Specialized key chains- These are made with some particular models in mind like the photo key chains, scale model key chains and the like. Some of them also carry the depictions of cartoon characters such as Popeye standing beside the car.
6) Camaro key chains in the form of auto parts- These key chains are made to resemble parts of the car such as piston, connecting rod and seat belts and at times make handy bottle or can openers.
Today, cars are not limited to mere modes of transport, but have become a symbol of status and style. Complimenting this view, accessories not only play a vital role in making a style statement but also help the customer bond with his vehicle.

Not a Chrysler PT Cruiser Ripoff - The Chevrolet HHR is a Hot Retro Car
Not a Chrysler PT Cruiser Ripoff - The Chevrolet HHR is a Hot Retro Car
by Joseph Van Velzor
The Chevrolet HHR, a fresh take on the retro car trend started by the Chrysler PT Cruiser offers you a distinctive look, smooth ride and versatile interior. It's designed to compete with Chrysler's PT Cruiser. The Chevrolet HHR is built on the Chevy Cobalt small sedan's platform. It's a four-door vehicle with a rear touch-pad liftgate. The 2006 Chevrolet HHR is a new kind of car. But honestly, it's is not for the sporting driver unless your driving the HHR SS Turbocharged version or tricked one out.
Driving
The Chevy HHR's strength is a smooth and quiet ride. Stock, it's not the best choice if you drive on curved rural two-lane roads or unimproved roads. If you spend the bucks you saved buying the HHR to trick it out, you get a sexy hot car, given it's retro appeal. Sharing the Chevrolet Cobalt's powertrain, you have a small wagon with utility and basic comfort.
Looks
The HHR, a retro Car, looks like the PT, but was inspired by the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban. When the Chevrolet released the HHR, it recaptured the classic looks of Chevy's mid-century trucks and vans. The HHR panel van is not for everyone, but will appeal to you if you want a small delivery vehicle or a car with a late forties look to it.
Performance
You find that nothing equals the HHR SS Turbocharged hot car's performance. Chevy delivers design, performance and value with standard features found on more expensive vehicles. The non-turbocharged HHR falls behind the competition is in overall performance and refinement. GM aimed the HHR at a younger crowd with a broad range of appearance and performance accessories.
Price
The Chevrolet HHR is a four-door sport utility vehicle with a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission in the LS, 1LT, and 2LT models priced from $16,550 to $19,350. It's packed with features, retro styling and practicality all at affordable price for a retro car. You may not know what a '49 Suburban looks like, but you will like the HHR's classic-car styling, practicality, mainstream mechanicals and affordable pricing.
As cool as the 1940s-style exterior is, the Chevrolet HHR is equally cool for its use of space and features like remote start and the iPod connector. The Chevrolet HHR looks like the Chrysler PT Cruiser, the lead designer of the PT Cruiser was involved in the design of the Chevy HHR. The Chevrolet HHR offers you roughly the same EPA fuel-economy ratings regardless of engine or transmission choice. Whether it's the HHR SS Turbocharged or a tricked out model, it's a sexy hot car.

The Chevy Volt Revolution
The Chevy Volt Revolution
by Morgan Kelps
Bob Lutz GM's 72-year-old Vice Chairman sits on the cutting edge of new hybrid technology. It is in fact Mr. Lutz and his belief in hybrid technology that has led Chevrolet to create some interesting new hybrid models due out soon including the Silverado, Tahoe, Malibu and Equinox. Under Mr. Lutz's guidance, Chevrolet even produced a fleet of transit buses powered by their Allison Electric Drive Transmission system for King County, Washington. A fleet is expected to save King County over 750,000 gallons of gasoline a year over the non hybrids it replaced according to hybrid-car.org.
Perhaps more important than any of the strides forward to date will be the 2010 launch of a brand new hybrid on its very own platform. We are of course talking about the 2010 Chevy Volt, part sports car, part green machine, all fun.
Officially unveiled at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 7, 2007 in Detroit, Michigan, the new Volt represents one of the first hybrid coupes to market. It was designed to meet the needs of most everyday commuters by providing electric power for up to 40 miles based off of its battery charge. In between the hybrid power and the internal combustion engines, the Volt is said to be able to travel 640 miles on a full charge. Perhaps most importantly, the Volt has been designed with the everyday user in mind.
With a price point around $30-40k, the Volt can fit the budgets of most middle class families looking to break the mold. Plus, based on a secret source, Bloomberg revealed in August '07 that first year production will yield 60,000 Volts. That number is nearly triple the amount of Prius that were made available to consumer post launch. A move that led to waiting lists, purchases over sticker price and a variety of other hype on Toyota's behalf.
One of the other reasons the Volt represents a large step forward for American automakers is the unique E-Flex system. This new platform from Chevy will ultimately allow for deployment across a variety of Chevy hybrids in the future and lies at the core of its success. The design combines a small electric motor with a lithium ion battery for the electric component while the gas engines is based on a small 1 liter engine to do the work at higher speeds. The combined package creates an engine with a peak output of 160 horsepower. Despite this low hp rating, electric engines accelerate far faster than combustion engines as displayed with the Tesla Roadster which goes from 0-60 in under four seconds according to their site.
In addition to a new platform, new technology and a reasonable price, the Chevy Volt and other cars that rely heavily on electronic propulsion require less maintenance:
* Filters need less changing due to decreased need for air filtration
* Brakes need less changing due to friction breaking
* Less moving parts equals lower probability of engines malfunctions
* Reduced oil changes/engine maintenance to reliance of electric technology
Facts in hand, take a minute to think about your next purchase and why a Chevy Volt may be the right car for you.

Shaun's Automotive Review: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu ~ Test Drive and Virtual Walkaround
Shaun's Automotive Review: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu ~ Test Drive and Virtual Walkaround
by Shaun Davidson
Driving up onto Chevrolet's lot left me with a lot to wonder. What will I be expecting? I've never bought Chevrolet, or for that matter anything domestic in over ten years. The lack of quality product had diverted my interests into our local Japanese economy. But in any event, I was ready and prepared for the worst...or maybe not.
My first impression on the new Chevrolet Malibu was of complete surprise. It's a handsome and striking automobile from a hundred yards away, but I'm still skeptical until I can really get up close and inspect it's minute details. It's because of this, I buy an automobile for functionality, style (looking different from the crowd), and reliability. I've seen so many tv pitch ads, and even listened to a wide array of radio sponsorships from local area businesses praising America's comeback kid. So okay great, the car even looks wonderful from up close. So how does this automobile perform??
I'm not one to judge so closely. From the front of the car, there's fabulous details. Fantastic fit and finish all around, no unsightly body panel gaps that plagued the previous two generations before. I looked at the LT2 model. Nice chrome appliques in just the right places, not overdone or overstated. Pull out door handle feel solid and do a lot in easing ergonomics. In addition, the deleted, unsightly window trim disappeared, evoked clean and aerodynamic design. The tallights were a change, very retro but at the same time elegant. Chevrolet nabbed a couple design cues from it's reverberated 2008 Cadillac CTS Sedan. I just pointed out to the sales consultant, did Toyota help design and engineer this?? With a grin ear to ear, he proclaimed an emphatic no!!
So now, I realise looks are only 50% of the total experience. I still had to be sold on how well it performs out on the freeway. Commuting fifty miles round trip was the norm, so comfort and passing power were my big high points. I get behind the wheel, adjust everything necessary to help assist my mental ownership and gazed about the cabin trying to figure out all the gadgetry. The one thing that did pop out, was the further attention to details on the materials of the dash panel and seating surfaces, very comfortable and not too harsh. What would happen next left me speechless, I cranked the ignition, no sound whatsoever. A definite high point in my book, very quiet, no engine noise whatsoever from inside. I geared it into drive and accelerated, still mute without the high hum of a four banger Ford Festiva...unbelievable!!
So in conclusion, the car was meticulous in detail, I hounded the four cylinder up and down narrow canyons in Napa Valley, not a peep. Needless to say, my expectations were exceeded ten fold. Surprise would not have been the word to describe the test drive. We have all heard the great praise the Malibu has had, and I can ultimately attest to the grand amount of advertising and rave reviews, that it has to seen to be believed. As you have read this review, I have gone through the song and dance. A proud new owner of a revitalized icon from yesteryear, I'm still in elation.

Chevy Trailblazer A FS C Receiver Drier: For Better Air Conditioning : New Chevy new chevrolet 2008

The Chevrolet sports utility vehicle series has been a stunning success for General Motors Corporation. Smaller than the Chevrolet Tahoe but larger than the Blazer, the Chevy Trailblazer portrays the patented technological standard of the company. More than ever, it puts the Chevrolet banner on top of the list of the most dynamic vehicles ready for action. The Trailblazer provides the most refined luxury features and offers superior handling control. These make the model perfect for off-road and on-the-highway driving activities. Looking at the components like the Chevy Trailblazer A FS C receiver drier alone justifies the polished concentration applied in building up this vehicle.Used in the car’s air conditioning system, the Chevy Trailblazer A FS C receiver drier, is employed to allow the thermal expansion valve to have a liquid refrigerant. This ensures the proper operation of the valve which cannot run efficiently without the aid of this component. Placed close to the condenser, it can be easily noticed because of its shape, which is similar to that of a fire extinguisher. Both the expansion valve and the condenser are connected to the Chevy Trailblazer A FS C receiver drier. The indispensable functions of this Chevy component are to separate the liquid and the gas as well as to take away the moisture and to eliminate the unwanted external particles. At its top portion, it usually includes a sight glass, which is used to boost the system. When a vehicle has a receiver drier, there is no need to have an accumulator.Checking the condition of the receiver drier improves the function of the Chevy Trailblazer. When the part is efficiently working, the driver must ensure that the sight glass does not have any noticeable vapor bubble. Whenever bubbles appear, they indicate that the system has inadequate refrigerant. This requires a check up by a professional mechanic. Eventually, this happens as the ideal function of the car component lasts for only two years. Therefore, having a major repair or replacing the Chevy Trailblazer A FS C receiver drier is normal.

Who has not heard about the Chevrolet Volt? If you have not, then the Chevrolet Volt is a creation of General Motors and it has been built as a plug-in hybrid concept vehicle. It is an electric vehicle and so it can run on pure electricity and would not have any emission. At present, General Motors has disclosed that they are currently working on a plan so as to shove the Chevrolet Volt right from being a concept vehicle to a working and sellable production car. Jon Lauckner, the company's vice president of the global program management team, had disclosed that they are also working on having the Congress give a go signal on tax incentives. If that becomes successful, it would mean that the demand for the Chevrolet Volt and its high performance Chevrolet wheels could go skyrocketing upwards. One of the hurdles that the company has to encounter with the production of the Chevrolet Volt is that the vehicle needs to have a quality battery unit. However, development of batteries could be quite expensive and so would be the production of such batteries. If there would be a great demand for the vehicle, the company would be looking at lowering the value printed on the vehicle's price tag.Lauckner also disclosed at an energy forum, "As volume scales up, you will move down this curve to see better economics going forward. You can't get hung up on the economics of the first unit or the tenth unit." He also continued to share that the company is already looking at having the production of the Chevrolet Volt start as soon as possible and they are targeting the end of the year 2010 as the start date. That way, the official disclosed, they would be able to prepare well so as to be able to roll out best quality units.Despite the high price tag that could come with the Chevrolet Volt, analysts from the industry have said that the vehicle would still fare well in the market. See, consumers are constantly bombarded with messages about how emissions let our health decline and how we are trying to save our planet from climate change. And with the Chevrolet Volt available in the market in the near future, consumers would be flocking to Chevrolet dealerships so as to be able to own a unit of the exemplary and earth-friendly vehicle.

The General Motors Corporation (GMC)-produced Chevrolet boasts of a wide range of quality products from trucks to cars to sport utility vehicles for its customers worldwide. Since 1911, the Chevrolet brand has continuously evolved into the modern vehicles available at present. What made this brand more appealing is that Chevrolet parts, which vary from either replacement parts or special add-ons, are in crisp condition and are readily available. Moreover, this American automaker makes sure that only the quality Chevrolet parts are equipped in its vehicles.Chevrolet, which is GMC's largest brand, takes pride in the automotive parts in its famous line of vehicles. Also known as Chevy, this automobile company does not only make compact cars, but most importantly light, medium, and heavy duty trucks. For this fact, the company has to really make the chevrolet parts better in order to suffice the demands of its vehicles. One of the best selling model of Chevrolet happens to be a medium-size pick-up truck called the Chevrolet Silverado. Since this vehicle has to perform heavy tasks, which can include hauling or towing, powerful Chevrolet parts were manufactured in it. All the Chevrolet trucks are, of course, geared to be tough. Thus, a powerful engine has been equipped. Trucks usually has a 5.3-liter V8 engine that can guarantee up to 300 to 315-horsepower. A vehicle with a beefed up engine has to be geared with an equally powerful suspension, transmission, wheel systems. These systems will make it easier for the operator to control the vehicle. This idea does not only apply to trucks, but to other Chevy vehicles as well. Moreover, a Chevy truck's spacious cabin makes it suitable for big families. The exterior of Chevrolet vehicles are also geared with safety Chevrolet parts like the headlights and taillights assemblies for better road visibility.Aside from the basic Chevrolet parts, some models of this brand are manufactured to have that air of luxury. Special features like backing sonar, power adjustable pedals, leather bucket seats, and satellite radio are just some of the innovations of Chevrolet vehicles. Customization of Chevrolet parts can also be done, but owners just have to make sure that the quality of these parts are not taken for granted. The usability of the Chevrolet parts before the sleek and stylish look should be prioritized. A good looking Chevrolet is pretty useless if the vehicle cannot serve its primary purpose.
