Washington DC Chevrolet Dealer - Tips To Prepare For The Negotiations : chevrolet car review

Washington DC Chevrolet Dealer - Tips To Prepare For The Negotiations
by Rex Freiberger
Buying a car from Washington DC Chevrolet dealer is very complicated, and for many people it is unpleasant, and for good reason. New cars are of course pure purchase and assured depreciation, except in the rarest of circumstances. On top of it, car loans are weighted so you pay mostly interest at first, so you don't have much equity in the vehicle.
Even if the whole procedure is a challenge, purchasing a new vehicle isn't like going to battle, as it might have been in the past. Now, it's more like a strategy game, and you will be a better customer, and get a better deal, if you know this. Finally, if you want to come out as the victor over a Washington DC Chevrolet dealer, you have to do your homework and get ready.
Automobile dealers rarely use the pushy approaches to salesmanship that were popular in the old days. The clients were totally fed up with them and began patronizing the more sensitive D.C. Chevrolet dealers. Nowadays, the focus is on client satisfaction rankings taken from polling recent purchasers. Those who achieve better ratings can obtain bigger bonuses and other awards from the car makers. That is also the way the dealers get ranked more highly.
In your quest for the ideal mode of transportation, make sure you check with people you know and trust for dealer recommendations. Even within the same dealership the range of expertise amongst sales personnel can vary widely, so make sure to get the names of any in particular that you should seek out or stay away from.
It is only natural that you want to negotiate with a nearby dealer, for your own convenience. This tendency can provide some advantages when shopping with a Washington DC Chevrolet dealer. The sales team will see you as a local, which can create an advantageous relationship. Also, since you will likely use that dealership for all of the work that your car will need while you are driving it, you will provide additional revenue in the form of repeat business.
Another factor is that service departments are naturally biased in favor of folks who bought their cars from that dealer. Despite this tendency, however, it is best to shop around at several dealerships. Ideally, you should start somewhere fairly distant from you home and move closer as you go. Once you get nearer to where you stay, the dealers that you have already seen will have armed you with several quotes, and you may be able to get a local dealer to match the best one.

The old commercial on sixties television was "See the USA in your Chevrolet" and many people see the Chevy as the all American car. Chevrolet is still a favored brand and popular with all age groups. This makes knowing your Baltimore Chevrolet dealer important to find the best deals on the Chevrolet line.
You can find a Baltimore Chevrolet dealer no matter what part of town you live in and can expect Chevy's fine reputation for service and performance. Currently you can find many great deals from a Baltimore Chevrolet dealer on new and used vehicles.
Cars that fall into the category of "pre-auction" can be the source of genuine bargains. Pre-auction cars were normally accepted in trade and might be other brands which provide additional options to buyers who are seeking a real deal, and who are sometimes on a strict budget. Be sure to ask about warranties on these autos, as they are frequently sold "as is."
Another great deal from your Baltimore Chevrolet dealer in late spring and summer are new cars from last season or even this season's current models. With new models only a few months away, many people decide to just wait for them to come out which is good news for those willing to take a still new car from a prior year or one about to be replaced.
Used cars that have been thoroughly checked out and certified by Chevrolet mechanics can also be a good choice. The dealer generally offers a good warranty with such a car. The better trade-ins that Chevrolet dealers get are generally sold like this. Also, you should ask about when companies trade in their fleet vehicles, because this can get you a great deal.
It is sensible to purchase from a local dealership that is familiar with the neighborhood, climate and terrain of your region. A Baltimore Chevrolet dealership surely is surely well acquainted with the neighboring area and will want to retain your patronage. Satisfied clients return to make future purchases and also refer their favorite dealerships to their relatives and acquaintances. So, since the dealer wants you to be pleased both for your later purchases and for your referrals, don't you think you should see your amiable Chevy salesman right away?

Chevrolet Hybrids : chevrolet car review

Chevrolet Hybrids
by Thomas Jones
The name Chevrolet certainly isn't foreign to the American population. After all, who hasn't heard the definition of a classic car being a "57 Chevy?" In looking at Chevrolet, though, classic cars and pick-ups come to mind, and not necessarily hybrid cars. Don't write Chevrolet off yet, though, but actually go take a look at Chevrolet. The sedan and truck known from Chevy are getting a remix, in the form of the more technological and eco-friendly hybrid.
2005 brought changes to Chevrolet's line-up, introducing the Equinox Hybrid vehicle, which, fascinatingly enough, was a hybrid SUV, one of the first in in the market, but not nearly as widely known. The Chevrolet Tahoe was right before the Equinox, and recent developments with Chevrolet have made the Equinox unavailable for pricing, so it seems that this new, unique take on one of the more gas-guzzling vehicles in the mass market has not seen the light of day in some time, and no information has been given on whether or not the vehicle will return. Even if there are major changes, the original Equinox was going to use a similar hybrid system that the Chevy Tahoe had, as well has having a major boost in fuel-efficiency from its typical gas-powered mate.
Putting the Equinox aside, Chevrolet offers both sides of the hybrid argument, the disappointingly less than fuel-efficient Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and the more affordable and much more fuel-efficient Chevy Malibu. In comparison to the Tahoe's 20 miles to the gallon, the Malibu can boast over 30 miles per gallon, making the Malibu a vehicle to consider when window-shopping for hybrids.
Coming soon from Chevrolet will be the Silverado Hybrid, which is going to be the first pick-up truck hybrid (I don't know about you, but I think that just sounds really cool). Originally slated for 2004, it has taken some time for this long-awaited innovation to arrive on the market, but considering the bad reception of the Tahoe and the competitive edge that Chevrolet wanted on the sedan front of the hybrid movement which prompted the Malibu, the Silverado is now finally going to be available with technology that should make things more accessible.
The Silverado should be available in limited supply in the fall of 2008, but will make its mass market debut in 2009 so they will be more available for every buyer. While still a good six months away from its premiere, this is definitely a vehicle to keep an eye on. A hybrid pick-up truck: Talk about completely changing around the stigma on trucks as gas guzzlers and turning them into more fuel-efficient vehicles that will be great for the whole environment.
As for other items on Chevrolet's market, the Concept Camaro has been rumored to possibly be a hybrid. Granted, there's nothing official yet, but, considering the major changes that would need to be made in order to make this classic staple a hybrid, there should definitely be more information on this particular item later
